Fajita Marinade

This fajita marinade is simple and great - the lime juice and olive oil is spiced up with cayenne pepper. It adds so much flavor to the meat for delicious fajitas.

Ingredients
- Sliced | 1.0-1.1 lb | Skirt Steak - Fajita Meat
- ⅓ c water
- 2 Tbsp lime juice
- 4 Tbsp lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, crushed or minced
- 2 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp liquid smoke flavoring
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
Directions
- Whisk water, lime juice, olive oil, garlic, soy sauce, salt, and liquid smoke flavoring together in a bowl
- Stir in cayenne and black pepper until combined
- Use to marinate up to 2 pounds of meat; marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to overnight before cooking as desired
Notes
This is perfect for skirt steak, sliced or whole.
I’ve made this with and without the liquid smoke and it is great either way.
